YSATT’S 5TH
MARINE TRADES SHOW – A UNIQUE EVENT
The range of marine services
and supplies offered in Chaguaramas will be on display at the Yacht
Services Association of Trinidad & Tobago (YSATT) 5th Marine
Trades Show on Saturday 13th October 2007 at the Sweet Water
Marina, Chaguaramas from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with product
demonstrations taking place upstairs of The Lure Seafood Grill and Bar.
This Marine Trades Show is
not your typical Trade Show. It is a very dynamic business-building
event that brings together marine accessory manufacturers, distributors,
suppliers, contractors and buyers through a combination of exhibits,
one-on-one meetings and product demonstrations and is also a great
networking opportunity.
It is the only show of its
type in the southern Caribbean.
Entrance to this event is
free and there will be lots of giveaways etc. Free product
demonstrations will take place within the show from 11:30 a.m. – 3:30
p.m.
Although the show takes
place in October 2007, 75% of the booth spaces have already been
booked. The following companies have already signed on to be part of
this unique event.

Last year 30 companies
exhibited with nearly $250,000 in business being transacted on the day
with an additional $500,000 in quotations being requested – these
figures are from only seven (7) of the companies that exhibited.
The yacht services industry
in Trinidad has grown from strength to strength in the last 12 years.
“For an industry that is only 12 years old, we can boast some incredible
milestones,” says Jane Peake, Past-President of YSATT. “The industry
employs more than 1,500 workers, contributes TT$125 million to GDP with
over TT$160 million in private sector investment. Our customers come
from all over the globe which means that we are a non-energy,
export-driven industry.”
Trinidad has become a very
popular destination for yachtsmen cruising the Caribbean. Apart from
its well-known geographic advantage (below the critical hurricane belt),
Trinidad has a lot to offer the yachting tourist – extensive repair
services and supplies are available in a concentrated area, festivals
and cultural attractions, eco-tourism activities, good medical services
and a vast range of shopping facilities.
The Marine Trade Show will
be open to the general public from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday
13th October 2007. For further information please contact
the YSATT Secretariat at ysatt@tstt.net.tt or 868-634-4938.
This Marine Trades Show is
owned and managed by the Yacht Services Association of Trinidad and
Tobago (YSATT) with the support of the Ministry of Trade & Industry and
Sweet Water Marina.
